ADVANCE-VAC4PM at ASTMH 2025: Driving maternal health innovation

The ADVANCE-VAC4PM project was represented at the ASTMH 2025 Annual Meeting, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve maternal and neonatal health through the development of a placental malaria vaccine, a critical tool for protecting mothers and babies in malaria-endemic regions.

As part of the programme, David Dosoo (Kintampo Health Research Centre) presented a poster on “Evaluation of a mobile application for tracking pregnancy outcomes”, showcasing innovative digital tools to support maternal health research.

Key findings from other complementary activities undertaken by the project partners were also presented, highlighting their commitment to advancing vaccine research for vulnerable populations and fostering international collaboration, paving the way toward a safe and effective placental malaria vaccine.
